The good news is that the doctors gave us the all-clear for Peter's surgery tomorrow despite his allergy trouble this past week. The bad news is Peter has to have surgery at all. I haven't written much about the surgery because it's not a particularly jovial subject. Peter was born with a small, mainly cosmetic birth defect that will require some reconstruction. He could live with the defect, but he'd eventually have to have it corrected and it's much better if he has the surgery now rather than later. I've been dreading this surgery for the last eight months.
