My CCD lesson went really well last night. We did another lesson on the Rosary, and this time, we prayed all five decades of the Glorious mysteries. The kids took turns leading prayers and lighting candles. In the end we had an illuminated Rosary. I liked the idea of lighting a candle for each prayer because it gave the kids something to focus on and it showed them how many prayers accumulated. They even agreed on a common cause for which to offer the Rosary.
The kids took everything very seriously and they seemed to remember a lot of what we talked about last week. It was really an encouraging lesson.
This morning Clint and I carpooled to work for a plethora of reasons, and the sunrise was gorgeous. Here are a couple of photos:
This color of orange is my favorite color. |
