Some time ago, I acquired this robin's egg blue sugar bowl at the Goodwill in Hays. I loved the color so much that I stood in the long line to buy it. Usually, I will not stand in line at the Goodwill to purchase a single item (Goodwill lines move slowly due to the number of people who will write out checks and balance their checkbooks before leaving the line...this is also a habitual problem at Dollar Stores). For a while, I was on a super-green cleaning kick. I cleaned my entire house with only baking soda and vinegar. I used the sugar bowl to hold baking soda, and I set it above my kitchen sink. Recently, I've found that baking soda doesn't do a whole lot for me. I still use gallons of vinegar, but I've greatly reduced the amount of baking soda I use. Therefore, the sugar bowl now holds bottle caps and other odds and ends (meaningless junk).
Though I still love the color of the bowl, I don't have any use for it, so I'm saying TTFN (ta ta for now). Sugar bowls bring out the British in me.
