It's probably not a good sign when you're getting ready in the morning and you're already so worn out that you want to lay on the couch with a drink. Don't worry, I have not resorted to day-drinking (or evening drinking for that matter) but ever since Sunday, it's been a struggle to wake up and get up in the morning. Clint's been the same way. Maybe that's just the toll of being new parents.
Yesterday, I was eating a piece of watermelon and holding Petie and he opened his mouth and made a dive for the watermelon. I let him slobber around for a second and he acted like it was the most refreshing thing he'd ever experienced...which it was. I ate this watermelon by myself in 24 hours because it was so delicious. Petie got the watermelon all over his chin and his onesie...it was pretty adorable.
Today I'm purging a board-book version of Goodnight Moon. This is one of my favorite bedtime stories..."Goodnight stars. Goodnight air. Goodnight noises everywhere." It is truly very sleep-inducing. I have two copies of this book, so I'm purging one.
Here's a couple more cute pictures of my sweetie Petie.

Selfie! Mama has more watermelon on her shirt than Petie does on his. |
