So, for my birthday (which is today), my siblings are going to take turns guest blogging for me! Mary is up today, then Abby then Sam. Their portions will be in italics.

Today is Luci's birthday! We (her 2 sisters and brother) have followed her blog closely and have been touched by the tributes she has written about us and our family. So, for the next few days we would like to be her guest bloggers so we can return the favor.
Sweet Luci, what a wonderful sister, daughter, wife and mother you are! Most of my memories of you as a child involve you working on one craft or another. Decoupaging a surface, making a collage for your wall from old greeting cards, or creating another paint by number masterpiece (majestic wolves). Some activities were a little less constructive...words carved into the top of a desk or bedroom wall or the hair cut on our favorite Barbie dolls.
These days you are just as creative, you just have different outlets for that creativity. In the imaginative and fun programs you plan at the library to the lessons you prepare for your church class to the pumpkin lasagna you created for Clint. I want you to know that I strive to be as faithful and humble as you are.
A few years back, on my birthday Luci called me. I answered, but she told me to hang up and the next time she called to let it go to my voicemail. I did, and when I listened to the message I bawled. She had written a beautiful poem dedicated to me. I want her to know that I still have that voicemail saved and when I miss her or have a particularly bad day I listen to it and it still brings a smile to my face. I'm so proud to call you my sister and friend!
