300 seems like a big number. I can hardly believe I've been purging this long! I asked my husband if he thought that I would be able to keep it up this long and he said "I thought I would be more mad at you for the things you purged, and I haven't been." A nice sentiment, I guess ;)
Today I'm purging a winter coat. This red, Anne Klein pea coat was my winter coat for six or seven years. It's past it's prime and needs to be dry-cleaned. The last winter I wore it, I was heavily pregnant with Peter and I could only button the top button. I looked a little bit like a penguin version of Little Red Riding Hood. In fact, I think that I loved this coat so much because of LRRH. I had a similar coat when I was two or three years old and it was one of my favorite garments then.
Now I wear a thermal Eddie Bauer coat. It can be washed in a washing machine and is very light-weight. A much more practical choice for a mommy whose son likes to wipe his nose on her shoulder every chance he gets! (I have a nice dollop of Peter's medicine on my shoulder today instead of snot)
